About Discover Driving
Discover Driving as a company came about during a family round-table game we played 25 years ago in an attempt to choose a suitable name for a then fictitious family company.
As former driver education teachers, we (Darrell and Ellen Warren) had already been teaching students at the local high schools.
When the provincial high school program was discontinued, a number of friends and neighbours suggested that we open our own company and teach their children to drive. We started small with one class of twelve students and one car, and we did all the driving, the in-class teaching, and the office admin work ourselves. That was in 1999!
Since then we have hired eight more instructors and an office manager. We have also increased our fleet to five cars.
We work with students in the Annapolis Valley over an area that stretches from Weymouth and Long Island in Digby County to Berwick in Kings County.
Besides beginning drivers, we also work with seniors, adults who are new to the area and experienced drivers who require refresher training.
Our goal is to provide a pleasant driving experience and quality instruction for students of all ages.
